The Wings defeated Charlotte 2-0 to open up the series in Charlotte. Yan started and pitched extremely well earning the win and Brian Shouse came on for the save to cap off the shutout. Scott Bullett (who went 3-4) took Larkin deep in the fourth to help supply the Wings offense in the win. Yan, Bennett and Shouse combined for a three hit shutout.
The Wings improve to 4-1 on the road trip and even their road record to .500 (and are 35-15 at home). The PawSox were idle so the Wings gain yet another 1/2 game on them to improve their lead to 5 games! The Wings continue their series in Charlotte tomorrow.
