Rangers blushes were saved when McKnight scored the winner at the final whistle in a testimonial match in Dingwall last night. Billy Ferries and Chris Somerville were the recipients and over 4000 people turned up at the game on a bitterly cold night to see Rangers win 3-2.
There was little to cheer the fans until the 43rd minute when Fitzgerald blasted the ball past the former Ibrox and Scotland 'keeper Nicky Walker. Ross equalised in the 63rd minute when 19-year-old Neil Tarrant tucked the ball past Dingwall-born Michael Rae in the Rangers goal.
Graham put the Ibrox side ahead in the 80th minute when he stroked the ball past substitute 'keeper Martin Rae - brother of Rangers 'keeper for the night - with a superbly curled shot from twenty yards out. Five minutes later Tarrant scored his and County's second to set up the dramatic finish.
Sitting in the stand watching the match was Michael Rae, senior. The former Ross County 'keeper was in a dilemma for the last quarter of the game because his two sons, Martin and Michael, jun, were opposing each other.
"I don't suppose Michael, in his wildest dreams, ever thought he'd see his two sons - one playing for Rangers and the other for Ross County - at opposite ends on the same ground," said his wife, Elaine, after the match.

On the day that Ross County lost the leadership of Division 3 to Arbroath, manager Neale Cooper was named as Bell's Manager of the Month for November.
Cooper praised his players and promised that County will get even better. He said, "A lot of it goes down to the players who have been working hard and putting in a lot of effort. I do put a lot of pressure on them because I know how well they can perform."
Cooper added, "We have yet to be at full strength or field the same side for two weeks running because of the injuries and suspensions we have had. The award is nice and is a massive boost for everyone at the club but there is still a long way to go.

Ambitious Ross County have opened a new half million pound complex at their Victoria Park Ground. They aim to unite the various sports clubs of the Dingwall area under the banner of Ross County and emulate the great sporting clubs of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Red Star Belgrade and Newcastle United.
Chief executive Roy McGregor said, "Saturday's ceremony will be a big moment for us because it will help underline the great progress we have made in the last three seasons.
County's new facility has been incorporated underneath and adjacent to their 1200-seater East Stand which was completed just over a season ago.
