A headed goal by defender Michael BOLOCHOWECKYJ five minutes from time gave Ross County Under-18s a 4-3 victory in an eventful match at Victoria Park.
In the first half, County seemed to be strolling as they raced to a 3-0 lead in the first 30 minutes.
Connor GETHINS scored a supreme goal when he chipped the 'keeper. Then a good build-up led to Darren JACK knocking home a Calum McKay's cut-back. JACK netted his second and his side's third to reflect County's superiority thus far.
However, the game changed in the 35th minute when Alan Guild was sent off for violent conduct, and this allowed Raith back into the game.
Two goals for the visitors fust before half time threatened to undo all the good work done by County in the early stages of the game.
The second half was fairly even with County looking capable of protecting their lead. However, in the 75th minute, Raith were awarded a penalty which was converted to level the scores.
County were not content with a point, and ten minutes later Bolochoweckyj scored what proved to be the winner. Despite a late penalty claim from Raith, the home side took the points.

Ross County under-18s’ SPL side had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw with Raith Rovers at Kirkcaldy on Friday, when they dominated for long spells but failed to convert their chances.
Sean WEBB gave the visitors the lead after 10 minutes when he headed home a corner kick.
However, Raith hit back soon afterwards when a through ball caught the County defence napping and led to a quick equaliser.
County had plenty of the ball and had several clear-cut chances in the remainder of the first half, but could not make them count.
The game followed a similar pattern in the second half, with County looking more likely to score but disappointing in front of goal, and feeling a bit frustrated at not picking up all three points.
Ross County U-18 XI: Rice; Bolochoweckyj, Webb, Wilson, Campbell, Cowie (Nicholl), Trialist-1, Blackley, Young Trialist-2 and Jack. Unused Subs: Hill, Duncanson and Dunnett.
