Klaus Voorman!

Bless him! Such a cool guy, you've really no idea!

"KLAUS! Mech mig swiegel heigen fleigen zugel!" Erm, for all those of you who *don't* own the CD version of Keith Moon's solo album, Two Sides of the Moon, never mind. To those of you who *do*, yes, this is THE Klaus Voorman, our German friend!

Klaus Voorman also designed the front cover of The Beatles' Revolver album. Just thought I'd share.

Name: Klaus Voorman

DoB: April 29th, 1942, which makes him exactly seven years to the day younger than my dad and 13 days younger than my mum!

Place of Birth: West Berlin, Germany

Plays: Bass guitar (and flute on Mighty Quinn). He's so BLATANTLY a cool customer just going by the instruments he plays!

Role in the Band: He was the obligatory arty type and you really couldn't have a rock band in the 1960s without an arty member!

Klaus was part of a group in Liverpool called Paddy, Klaus and Gibson after meeting The Beatles during their Hamburg days and becoming good friends with them. So I figure that anyone who is friends with The Beatles HAS to be groovy, right? Right.

I don't really know that much more about my mate Klaus (yes he *is* my friend, I like him. He doesn't know me but why should that matter? LOL! :-D) but when I do, I'll get it posted up here!
