Counsellor

Because of their training in psychology, technically the ships'/facility's Counsellor is considered part of Starfleet Medical. The Counsellor is responsible for advising the Head Counsellor in dealing with other people and races, and in helping crewmembers with personal, psychological, and emotional problems.

The Counsellor is technically under the authority of the Chief Medical Officer, but reports directly to the Head Counsellor.
