Kitty Beach Party
My cattery was established in 1985. I started my breeding program out with two breeding females. I like to keep my cattery small so all my cats get the Tender Loving care that they deserve and so kittens get lots of attention. They are totally indoor cats who enjoy Jimmy Buffet and Mahi Mahi grouper on the grill. They leave the margaritas to me. Kittens are all raised underfoot and never caged. I put my emphasis on health, quality and temperament. I prefer my kittens to be sold as pets to live long happy lives, without the constant stress of going to cat shows. I want my kittens to be spoiled with their new families. My kittens will have been subjected to baths, used to nail clippings and will familiar with using a variety of scratching posts.
I Have one stud cat and 3 breeding females. I will only do 2 to 3 litters per year. I do suggest if people are interested in a kitten, that they get on my waiting list as most of the kittens are already spoken for before they are born.
Big Bopper is my stud. He is such a gentle cat and this wonderful laid back temperament reflects in his kittens. My female cats are the same. Well you see, they are part of my family. so their kittens make wonderful pets and will be part of your family too.
People always ask about size. I do not guarantee size. Big Bopper lives up to his name as when I was showing him back in 1993/1994, he got up to a whopping 27 pounds. Must have been all that take out food when we were on the campaign trail of his show career. He now weighs in at 21-22 pounds, some of his boys have reached in the 20 pound range and some females have reached as much as 16 pounds. I feed Royal Cannin and Max Cat in my cattery.
I normally have kittens in early spring and in the fall. Mother cats get a break from kittens in the summer usually as I am busy spending time at the beach as a reach Real Beach Person. I live close to the beach and enjoy beach activities such as volleyball.
All of my kittens are examined by my vet before they leave my home and are always flea free and have no ringworm. I have had no FIP or FELV in my cattery ever. We are a closed cattery, which means I take in no females from other catteries for stud service. I also am very selective of the cats that I bring in to be part of Bopper's harem.
