CONE, CLARA

Mrs. Fannie Lou Irwin said one of the Cones married a Warthen Daughter (one of 6)(had 6 brothers) and went to Texas about 1805-6.  Clara one was their daughter and the family in Washington County later sent for Clara (perhaps after death of her parents).  She later married George Gilmore Sr and became the grandmother of Dr. Thomas W. Gilmore.  Clara was born in Texas and died in Rome, Ga.  See Wash.Co.Ga. tombstone Inscrip (Example of migration.  He probably went west about the time Benjamin Tennille went west.  I think there was a big movement of migration from around Warthen at that time.)
