He is his own Grandpa

According to a medical paper a man was committed to the lunatic asylum a few days ago because of his melancholy condition in thinking that he was his own grand father. He had written this singular letter:

"I married a widow who had a grown-up daughter, my father visited our house and fell in love with my step daughter and married her. So, my father became my son-in-law and my step-daughter became my mother because she was my father's wife. Some time afterwards my wife had a son; he is my father's brother-in-law and my uncle for his is the brother of my step-mother. My father's wife, that is, my step-mother, also had a son; he is of course, my brother, andin the meantime, my grandchild, for he is the sone of my wife's husband and grandchild at the same time. And, as the husband of a person's grandmother is his grandfather, so I am my own grandfather! Farewell!!"
