Well I admit that I dropped the ball a bit this month in getting my usual monthly update done *blush*. I decided to stray from the norm a bit and make my index page into my "Tribute To My Mom" because she deserves to be the only pick of the patch this month *smile*. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the month of May and a very Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms that come by for a visit.

My mom is my #1 super hero, she is my mentor, best friend, and my heart! I am truly blessed to have such a supportive and loving mom. She will be the first to tell you that raising us wasn't always easy but trust me she was on top of things and not much slipped by her. I always swore that she had radar ears and eyes in the back of her head lol. She did a very good job by each of her children, we all turned out just fine thanks to her strength, love, and wisdom.

Mom, I just want you to know that I love you and thank you for everything! Thank you for your unending patience with us, your support when we made mistakes, your strength in the times where it was needed, your wisdom in helping guide us to the right decisions, your humor in making the best out of a bad situation, and most of all your love for us through all the good times as well as the bad.

You are the worlds greatest mom in my eyes :)
Have a very Happy Mother's Day!

Love, Connie

A picture memory brings to me;
I look across the years and see
Myself beside my mother's knee.
I feel her gentle hand restrain
My selfish moods, and know again
A child's blind sense of wrong and pain.
But wiser now, a man gray grown,
My childhood's needs are better known.
My mother's chastening love I own.

-John Greenleaf Whittier

Thinking of You This Mother's Day and Wishing You Life's Best

I wish that the sun will always
shine for you,
and that your world
will always be bright
and warm and beautiful.

I wish the wonder of
life's sweetest moments for you,
with hours full of happiness
and days when everything
goes as best it can.
I wish a million great beginnings
for you,
with a perfect parade
of all your dreams come true
and happy endings always.

I wish with all my heart
for your greatest happiness.
I wish you
nothing but the brilliant
and vibrant colors
of the rainbows
and life's brightest days...
because the sun should always
shine for you.

-Poem by Barbara J. Hall

Mothers are the place that we call home.
On them we rest our heads and close our eyes.
There's no one else who grants the same soft peace,
Happiness, contentment, sweet release,
Erasing nighttime tears with lullabies,
Restoring the bright sun that makes us bloom.
