Pictures taken on June 30th to July 2nd.
Mount Robson area and a day hike on the Berg Lake Trail.
22 years ago I did this hike with my Dad while living in Jasper. At that time we made it all the way to Berg Lake and had a beautiful lunch across from the Berg Glacier. This year I am not in as good a shape and only made it as far as the Emperor Falls campground, 9 kms from the mountain bike drop off at Kinney Lake.

Saturday started with a warm up hike along the Fraser River and up to a view point under threatening skies. We did get wet.

That night had a nice camp fire going so did some experimental shots of the flames. Nice effects!

Sunday was the bike and hike of the Berg Lake trail as far as we could get to safely turn around and be back by dark.
Nice reflection in Kinney Lake.

Catching the beautiful colour of Kinney Lake.

Found three new wild flowers that I have not seen myself on other hikes. All of these were seen near the Whitehorn Campground.

Heading back along the trail overlooking the valley with the Whitehorn Campground.

Scenic at the Whitehorn Campground.

Overlooking Kinney Lake on the return trip.

Monday was just an easy morning of relaxing and enjoying the view as Mount Robson became mostly clear of the clouds that normally cloak it.
