Ideal Explorers

Insiduous chills of hidden eyes
follow sinuous lines of flesh,
flare complex passion
under the arching serpent
in dark trees
howling at the moon.
Night's erotic reversals
stir wanderlust
with voluptuous horror,
sinister caresses of
skin like tropic leaves,
mosses of murky moisture
that drip dim drops in
shadows of distant moonsong
as voiceless, yearning loons
silently serenade these
breathless fictions tramping rapt
through actual lands.
