What is Xenome?
Xenome is a live-action role-playing game set in the a world where superhuman mutants are real. Players take on the roles of these mutants or the normal humans who coexist - or contend - with them.
What is Live-action role-playing?
Live-action role-playing (LARP) is a type of game where the players create stories with each other. You don't just describe what your character says, you say it. You don't just say what your character does, you act it out (within the limits of safety and good taste). LARP is improvisational theater in which the cast and the audience are the same people.
What can my character do?
That depends on the character - and on you. You choose your character's skills and abilities (within the limits imposed by the rules) when you create the character. As for what actions you can take, you can do anything that a character like yours would reasonably do, as long as you can get away with it. Keep in mind that other characters will have their own agendas, and some of them will conflict with yours.
How do I win the game?
LARP is not like other games; there are no all-encompasing goals nor do we keep score. If you have fun playing and make the game more fun for others, you've won. If you wait for someone else to entertain you then you'll probably be bored. The way to win at LARP is to actively participate. This naturally means that there can be multiple winners. The only losers are those who stand along the walls waiting for the game to come to them instead of getting into the game.
