Without control or warning,
a magnificent thing occurs,
often loud and unrelenting,
definitely not murmurs.

Smiles at jokes or silly things,
Mainly friends and fools,
Smiles that grow and thrive,
but are only used as fuel.

For laughter is the reward,
the thing which to seek.
It divides and separates
the men from the meek.

Referred to as medicine,
this laughter it the key.
But if this thing is so damn good
Why does it avoid me?

This lil doo-dad was written about B-ob, the night i met him (coincidentally the night before my birthday) because we sat up talking until about 3am the morning of my birthday. He kept me in hysterics, and I kept commenting how good it is to have something to laugh about for a change. The ending had to be a bit of a downer, otherwise it would not have fit the Gabbie standard...we can't have happy poems in here, now can we?
