Who is Gary?
"In the beginning, I knew nothing about C++," says Gary. "I'd never even heard of it."
"But then--- I enrolled in the Bachelor of Internet Science &Technology degree program at the award-winning University of Wollongong. And within days, I was up to my lower lip in s-t-r-a-n-g-e new concepts."
"After nearly drowning in the Sea of New Ideas, I got a grip and went on to actually pass CSCI 111. Plus the rest. But 111 was the where I did mighty battle with The Thing called C++."
"These web pages record, in Q&A format, many of the tiny steps towards this glorious victory. And they're dedicated to helping other students of the art-science that is C++."
Fellow student, be encouraged. Put in the time, and thrilling victory can be yours too!
About this site
"One way that I study," Gary says, "is by repackaging the lecture material into a Q&A format."
" When I shared my quizzes with a few students, feedback was positive. And word was spreading."
"Soon others were asking to be added to my email subscriber list. So it didn't take me long to decide to create this new website."
Working with the content in order to frame the questions is particularly helpful (it's a study method I recommend)... even though the search for accurate answers can be sometimes quite challenging (as you know, the C++ language is still being refined and as a result the older books just don't incorporate the latest standards... can be confusing, can't it?).
By the way, consult with your lecturers if you need to. Once I stopped trying to be self-sufficient, and got the courage to go and admit I needed help, they were great!
Hearty thanks deservedly go toItalics
There may still be errors here. Hopefully not many. But where I wasn't sure of the answer, I used italics. Should you spot a mistake, you're very welcome to email me. So much the better if you can include the answer!

PS:
In June 2003, I finished my degree. Yes, not a single failed subject.
So I'm saying to you "push on... you can do it, one step at a time".
