Raylin graduated third of his class at Star Fleet Officers Core.  Then went on to Post graduate studies at Earth's Westpoint in military intelegence and tactics.
SERVICE RECORD:
During his first assignment(U.S.S. Elxion), his ship was infiltrated and overrun by the Borg and almost assimilated into the collective completely.  Raylin's telepathic ability allowed him to separate his mind from his body, and mindmeld with the borg collective central computer, search through the database, and contact the U.S.S. Enterprise. 

The Enterprise came to the rescue, saving the ship, its technology, and its emence cargo manifest.  However, only 37 of its 2,394 crew and civilian passengers survived.  The rest were either killed by the Borg, or assimilated by them.  After months of physical therapy and treatments to adjust to the implants left in his body by the borg, Raylin was commended for his actions, sense of duty and presence of mind to be able to save at least the small amount of life that he did. 

Raylin was reassigned to the U.S.S. Defiant at DS9 and was given the rank of Lt Commander in charge of Tactical Operations.  After the Dominion threat was reduced in the Bajorn sector, Raylin requested a transfer to the Klingon-Federation border, to be amongst his people, and to help crush the rising Dominion hostilities rumored to be happening in the sector.  Instead was reassigned to DS9 as the chief intelligence officer.

BACKGROUND:
Character's mother:   Ayresta Yentari(Vulcan scientific engineer)
Character's father:   Makon D'jorn of the Klingon house of D'jorn, career military officer.
Character's Homeworld: Thera VII in the Draconis system.

6'4" Masculine Klingon in appearance, except pronounced ears, seemingly ancient, all-knowing right eye(such as all Vulcans seem to).  The area where the left eye should be located is a Borg multi-spectrum enhancing visual device. Raylin also has Borg implants that to enhance his strength, speed, coordination, reflexes, intellect, and Vulcan telepathic abilities.

Genetically engineered by Mother because natural crossbreeding between Vulcans and Klingons is concidered impossible and she and her mate wanted offspring.  Grew up in constantly monitored and tested for any signs that the engineering may have side effects until the age of 6, then lived with family on vulcan.  Went on to join starfleet at the age of 18 and the rest is a matter of fleet records.
