Hanson attended and performed at the American Society of Young Musicians (ASYM) Benefit on May 31st! (The picture to the side) They took the award for Most Innovative Band home and sang This Time Around accapella. Congratulations Hanson! And thanks to Perfection: Taylor Hanson for the pictures! Zac makes a cameo appearance in the Tulsa band The Tractors video. "Also making a cameo appearance in the video, is Zac Hanson, drummer for the band Hanson. Pretty cool! Zac is seen driving a VW Bug picking up Jim Bates (acoustic bass) and David Teegarden (drums) who are hitchhiking their way to the studio for the session. In the car with Zac is my daughter, Angelene, and Leon Russell's daughter, Tina Rose." You can download the video by heading over to their site.

More album news! According to CDNow's latest article on Hanson's recording the album's release date is set for sometime in early spring 2002. Read the whole article here! I don't know about you but I can't wait! Hopefully, they'll post some more studio pics soon!

Hanson did attened MTV's 20th Birthday Bash 20-Live and Almost Legal (filmed live 8/1/01) and were interviewed in the first hour of the party. They talked a little about the new album, in which Taylor says they are getting ready to go into the studio with a 'new, fresh, young producer.' Hmm...wonder who that will be?! They also talk about their first MTV memories including Isaac talking about Weird Al's 'Fat.' And Zac gets a little mad at Ananda for mentioning their role in the current 'pop phonemon.' Re-runs of the party will run a lot.

Hanson was one of the many acts to performed at Riverfest on the 9th. They performed 7 songs including two new ones! Check out pictures and an awesome review from the fest at TulsaTeens.com

Hanson went to France awhile back for a 'Song Writting Bootcamp.' During the camp, they wrote for the new album with artists such as, Carole King and Donny Brown (in the picture to the left) of The Verve Pipe.

"Mmmbop" was #1 on the episode of "What'd U Say?" on VH1's What's My 20? The show counted down the top 20 groups/artists who've sung hard-to-understand lyrics

Hanson's video 'Save Me' is featured on the 7up MUSIC MIX VOLUME 1. It's an interactive cdrom you can get from your local grocery store when buying 7up!

Hanson will be included in the Micheal Jackson recording of "What More Can I Give?" Clips from the studio have been shown on Entertainment Tonight.
