I acutally got the 'inspriation' for this site by looking and surfing other Hanson fan sites. Some of them were just so incredible, it really show cased just how much they loved Hanson. So, I decided to make my own little Hanson website sometime in September 2000. I started off at expage.com and I thought that it was just the greatest thing! Sure, the site's name was really unorginal, New Hanson Pics. But, all the same I was so proud of it! I especially loved when someone would stop and sign my guestbook! (which by the way I still do...so please go sign it!) I loved learning new things about computers, sites, and HTML. So, my site began to grow and I actually think that I started to get a few people that had stopped and then kept coming back. (let me tell ya that makes whoever owns the site feel really good) After putting so much time and effort into the site, I guess you could say some 'special vistiors' stopped by. I actually recieved a guestbook entry from Hanson! Of all the wonderful and noteworthy Hanson fan sites, they stopped at mine. I really didn't deserve that! Here is a 'cut and paste' of the guestbook entry- Sat Oct 21 13:20:22 2000 Hanson hansonfans@hansonline.com Tulsa WV USA We loved the site! We hope to hear from you soon! Love always I,T,Z Yikes, that felt good to read. Then around January I decided that I wanted a change. But, I didn't want to totally move my site because of all the work I had put into it. Yet, when expage posted something about not being able to save or upload pictures anymore I freaked out. My page was probably half pictures! So I decided that it would be better for me to 'relocate' my site. I first knew that the name had to go...and These Crashing Seas is from one of my favorite Hanson songs so it just fit. And the rest is pretty much history. But I would definatly like to thank expage.com They were great for my 'frist website experience' If anyone is thinking of starting a site I would highly reccomend Expage....it's a great way to start. And maybe when something happens to this site, like it actually get a layout or anything else exciting I will add to this 'History Page.' |
