Archive: Yes, please just let me know where
Feedback: Please!
Spoilers: First Person Shooter
Rating: PG-13? I don't know.
Classification: Post-Ep - Missing scene, actually
Keywords: MSR, RST
Disclaimer: These characters belong to Chris Carter, 1013 Productions and
Fox Television. No infringement is intended.
Summary: Another "what really happened in the module before the Lone
Gunmen opened the door," but this is what REALLY happened. It's short -
they didn't have much time.
Author's Notes: This was written simply for my own satisfaction. I needed
it. Remember Gillian Anderson saying that all the sexual tension on the
show would more likely be resolved with an explosion than with romance?
This was the perfect moment to prove that theory - and they dropped the
ball. So I am just picking it up and doing what should have been done in
the first place.

She watched as another armored tank took shape in the smoke remaining
from the last explosion. The woman who appeared soon after was
unharmed. Scully took a better grip on her weapon and began to fire.
She saw a tremor run through the image in front of her, the details blurring,
colors and objects pixelizing. Her finger pulled the trigger again, and just as
she realized that she was out of ammunition, Mulder shouted. She risked a
glance over her shoulder and saw that he had managed to wrench the door
to the module up a few feet. She looked back at the tank. It had nearly
disappeared, the images all around them deteriorating rapidly.
She felt Mulder's hand on her arm and dived with him into the module just
as the game faded into white noise and the door slammed shut. She sat on
her heels for a brief moment, hands braced on her thighs, breathing hard.
She was kneeling between Mulder's outstretched legs and he was sitting up
straight, leaning toward her, close enough that she could feel his hard
breath on her chin. She watched him reach up and pull off his glasses.
His eyes drilled into hers, wild and hot. She felt heat race through her,
aided on its journey by the adrenalin pumping through her system. She
thought to herself that she should stand up, should check on him, should
just move or blink or yell. What she did was launch herself at him,
wrapping her arms around his head and sending them both to the floor. His
arms came up around her back as her lips met his in a kiss that was hard
and passionate and starved.
Their mouths devoured each other, tongues plunging, teeth bumping, heads
roving - seeking a better fit, closer contact, more skin. She shifted, never
allowing their mouths to part, placing her knees on either side of his hips.
She braced her hands on his bare shoulders and pushed away from him just
enough to look at him.
He stared at her, panting and thrusting his hips, each thrust lifting her
slightly. He lifted his head from the floor to recapture her mouth, but she
pulled away just a bit more and made a negating sound. He waited, never
releasing her eyes. She reveled in his fierce look for a moment longer and
then showed him some ferocity of her own, taking his lower lip between
her teeth and biting down. It was enough to make him snarl and smother
her mouth with his. He brought his hands up to thread his strong fingers
through her hair and take control of their kiss, pulling their mouths even
closer together. Their bodies heaved against each other and blood roared in
her ears.
Through the deafening sound of her own heartbeat, she finally heard
enough to break away from him, his hands sliding through her hair as she
rolled to the side. She looked over at him as he took a deep breath and
blew it out, slipping his sunglasses back on and letting his hand fall limply
to the floor. She sat up and braced herself on her hands just as the door
rolled up, revealing the relieved faces of their friends. As she stared blankly
at them, trying to get her breath and body back under her own control, she
felt Mulder sitting up slowly beside her.
"THAT'S entertainment," he declared.
