Dear Ma'am or Sir, I have always been a Gummi Bear consumer. I graduated long ago from the "lick them and throw them on the ceiling" phase, and have come over the years to truly appreciate their texture and taste. Being such a fan of your product, it is with a heavy heart that I tell you about my last Gummi experience. Upon a visit to a local grocery store, amidst my search for everyday toiletries and even less-exciting products, I picked up a 16 oz. package of your brand Gummi bears as per my regular routine. Later that night, while watching my favorite program, I began to eat them and realized that they were unusually hard and stale-tasting. As I had noted earlier, I consume a massive amount of Gummi bears, and even Gummi worms when I'm feeling a little more adventurous, and have never experienced this before. The expiration date on the package read August 2000, so I do not believe age to be the culprit. Has your company initiated a new manufacturing process, or changed your formula? I hate to think that all future purchases of your products will yield the same results. Your product has been a source of satisfaction to me for a long time. It is my sincerest hope that measures are being taken to ensure that consumers such as myself will be enjoying Gummi for many years to come. Sincerely, Pat S. |
