This is the absolute best Goth/Industrial/Metal album I have heard since Circle of Dust came out with “Brainchild” in the mid-1990’s. It is amazing that such an album is the work of only two people: Vora Vor and Sebastian Elliot. They seem to have more talent in creating interesting songs than most bands in this genre. Heavy guitars, moody synths/programming, and an overall pervasive atmosphere that is simultaneously aggressive and philosophical. It is a combination of the Gothic mood with the principles of good Metal, some industrial elements, an occasional dance or synthpop moment, some cleverly placed samples, and some real catchy riffs. Braindance stand out in my mind as the best that Industrial/Goth/Metal can achieve amongst a throng of mediocre bands. As I said, it is the best Goth/Industrial/Metal album I have heard since Circle of Dust came out with Brainchild.
