Annapurna Circuit 21 day Trek |
What is Annapurna Circuit...?
The Annaprunas are a well known set of mountains set in the Himalayan Kingdom, which lie just about in the centre of Nepal. The trek basically takes you around a set of mountains in a circuit which is about a 200 mile journey around the Annapurna Himal, up the Marsyangdi river Valley to Thorung La, pass, and down to the Kali Gandaki river valley.
You also can go up to the Annapurna Sanctuary, a high bowl in the middle of the Annapurna Himal surrounded by over 7000 and 8000 meter peaks on all sides.
Along the way you travel through dense rhododendron and bamboo forests, arid Mountain villages, high desolate alpine terrain, and see fields, river valleys, temples, towns, and meet wonderful locals and travellers.
