Crosskart is still a  small sport, but it`s coming strong and will probely be much bigger in a few years.

In 1986 there was three testraces. And from that moment it`s have been roll on and they started to drive in a league, The Swedish Cup. In 1992 they got a State Championship and in 1998 finaly crosscart got the
Swedish Championship.

The events are driven on gravel and asphalt and there are even sometimes sprint- and uphillraces. Each driver starts to drive three qualificationrace. 250cc and 500cc drives together in the qualification and 125cc are driving for them selves. In the qualification are they starting in three lines with   three drivers in each line. In the final there are four lines and the twelve most succesfully drivers are qualified to the final, 250cc and 500cc are not driving together in the finals.



Crosskart 125cc

Engine: Only mass-produced 125cc with one cylinder and two stroke standard engine, max 30hp=22kw, only engines of 1992 models or older can be used. No tuning, working or grinding on any component. The engine has to be orginale as it was for highway use in Sweden. 

Frame: Tubeframe with plasticbody

Miniweight: The cart is not allowed to have a weight under 190 kg

Maximum size: Total lenght 2100mm, wide 1500 mm.

Age: 12 – 16 year. Are allowed to start competing when they are 12


 

Crosskart 250 / 500 cc

Engine: Are you using two stroke can`t the cylindervolume go beyond 255cc. Are four stroke engine used can´t the cylindervolume go beyond 510cc, only one cylinder is allowed. The engine must come from a mass-produced motorcycle but it´s free tuning not turbocharged.

Frame: Tubeframe with plasticbody

Miniweight: The cart is not allowed to have a weight under 190 kg.

Maximum size: Total lenght 2100mm, wide 1500 mm.

Age: Are allowed to start competing the year they become 16

Racetracks: Rallycross, Folkrace, Speedway, Sprint- and uphillrace

Number of competitor: Max 9 competitors in each qualificationrace and max 12 in the finals.

Driver equipment: During practise or race must the driver where a helmet with a face guard attached to the helmet, max 1500 gr.                                                                                                                                            Eye protectors with shatterproofed glas.
The track suit must be fireproof.
