Speakers:
The speakers I have are an old set I got for a great price.  They are JBL
The subwoofer is an Energy ES-12. 12" driver, 150W. Not great, but servicable.

Other stuff:
I have a Sharp XV-Z9000U 1280x720 16:9 DLP projector with home made 96"x54" 16:9 screen, Panasonic RP-56 DVD player, Sony VHS VCR, Hitachi VHS VCR, and the heart of the system is a Yamaha RX-V2092 receiver.  It was Yamaha's flagship receiver when I bought it, but time (and especially technology) stands still for no one.  It still has plenty of power for my needs (5 channels at 100W/channel).  The reason I bought it was the THD on the surrounds was really low (0.02% I think).  I had a Pioneer receiver and I could hear the hiss from the rear channels.  It bugged me so much I paid double the price of the Pioneer for the Yamaha and have been happy ever since.

Ocelot (previously CPUXA):
I am using an Ocelot programmable controller.  It has an IR sensor and can identify IR codes that have been programmed into its memory.  It can also transmit any IR codes it has been programmed with.  It also has an X-10 interface to control the X-10 dimmers I have on the sconce lights and step lights in the theatre.
