This is not actually a Ranma 1/2 fanfiction, despite what the name might seem to apply. It's a gamelog of a RPG that a friend and fellow obsessive is running; the game is entitled "Ranma 1/2 Adventures," hence the name. Anyway. The characters (see below) are completely original, and the usual Ranma cast doesn't show up except for the occasional cameos. But don't let that turn you off of reading it; it's still damn funny, if I may say so.

Sometime in the not-too-distant future...

Ranma and Akane are safely and happily married, and their marital spats never extend beyond the dojo they teach at. Shampoo and Mousse have returned to China; Ukyo let Ryoga lead the way on their last date and the two haven?t been seen since. Perhaps now, Nerima can finally have some peace and quiet...

WHAM. "BAKA!"

Maybe not.

Characters:

Danova Gingami, Age 17.

Danova was just another wandering martial artist of the School of Unorthodox Weaponry; he made his home in Nerima ward but had no regular occupation. Then he made one mistake -- he went to China. That might not have been so bad, but he made another mistake -- he went to investigate the strange legendary training grounds, Jusenkyo. Things still might not have turned out so badly, but he made another mistake; he fell into the Spring of Drowned Mouse. Dragging himself home towards Japan, Danova made the final mistake that would haunt him for a very long time -- he met Yamane...

Obliviousness: Average

Yamane

is also known as Yamaneko, the Wildcat of the Yang-tze basin. She subscribes to the School of Blunt Objects martial arts, a skill that comes in handy in beating off the hordes of men that for some reason fall over her wherever she goes. Yamane alternates without warning from being shy and almost lapine (Yamane has a special affinity with rabbits) in her docility, to turning into screeching tiger. Coming to Japan from China with Danova, Yamane brought nothing with her except her much-beloved pet dragon ?D-chan.? Of course, there are a few things she doesn?t know about her darling D-chan...

Obliviousness: Kasumi
(Yes, Yamane has lots more pictures than anyone else. The drawings were by her player -- they're copyright to Julie Moore, by the way, so don't you dare steal them -- so her character gets the most. Thanks, Julie.)

Rushe Kabane, Age 17,

has a long-standing, deep-seated feud going with Danova. So long-standing and deep-seated, in fact, that neither one of them has any idea what the whole thing was about in the first place. Rushe subscribes to the Kabane School of Martial Arts Quantum Mechanics, a fighting style deceptively heavy on power for such an intellectual subject. He, too, went to Jusenkyo, and fell into the extremely improbable (but then again, isn?t that what Martial Arts Quantum Mechanics is all about?) Spring of Drowned Small Dragon. He is desperately in love with Yamane, but then again, who isn?t?

Obliviousness: High

Rei Shishi

has the distinction of being the only one of the cursed lot that never set foot out of Japan. Age eighteen, Rei actually has a paying job and is able to maintain a small apartment; she dazzles crowds and foes alike with her skill at Martial Arts Magic Tricks. Unfortunately, while practicing her dove tricks one day with some special water imported all the way from Jusenkyo, Rei had a little accident...

Obliviousness: Low

Takashido Tanpopo,

scion of a very wealthy and suavely upper-class family, was lost at a young age to be raised by feral grade-schoolers; as he grew (I hesistate to say ?matured?) he became a master of the School of Martial Arts Playground Games. Once he was restored to the family of his birth, Takashido took advantage of their guilt and excess money to take a tour of China. He then decided to play hopscotch at Jusenkyo, with predictable results; Spring of Drowned Racoon. Dripping with charm, chivalry, and money, Takashido defends the right of small children, beautiful women, and Christmas everywhere there is a threat -- or, at least, everywhere he perceives there to be a threat.

Obliviousness: High

Tenba Tanaka, of a Legal Age to Drink -- Really! --

is heir to the Tanaka Hebereke-fu, or Drunken-Style Martial Arts. Since the art of Hebereke-fu is much ridiculed among the martial artist circuit, Tenba is under a number of unfortunate geasu; for instance, should he ever be defeated in combat, Tenba must renounce his Art and marry the person who defeats him. Fortunately, Tenba?s level of skill is such that he has never lost a fight. Well, almost never. The only way to beat him is to catch him sober -- a condition that he tries to avoid as much as possible. A lifetime of conditioning has rendered his tolerance for alcohol unmatchable, and brought his ability to deal with -- or ignore -- general weirdness to an astounding level. Which is also fortunate. Tenba does not turn into any kind of animal when touched by cold water. But he does have this little secret...

Obliviousness: Kasumi

Chibiku

I'm thinking of a word that begins with "thorozine..." Ku, Yamane's little sister, has enough extra energy generated on air alone to power a space shuttle launch; however, air is not enough for this little girl of the bottomless appitite. Ku has a tendancy to slip into Mandarin at random times, which annoys the heck out of the adults (adults?) around her, but is actually probably for the best, all things considered. Yamane's mother sent Ku to Japan in order to make sure that Yamane got married... she didn't specify who to, although she had some guy in mind.

Obliviousness: Kasumi

Xiom Gai

is some guy, Yamaneko?s would-be fiancé. The engagement was decided quite some time ago, but Xiom showed no interest in pursuing her -- until he got a good look at her, that is. It was the threat of marriage that drove Yamane to leave China in the first place, but now Xiom has followed her to Japan... and he?s not going to leave, either!

Obliviousness: High

Sakami Sanzenin

is Tenba Tanaka's would-be fiancée, and has spawned not a little romantic pursuit herself. Sakami is a practitioner of the Martial Arts School of Fly-Fishing, but most of her strength comes from the near-universal capitulation of the male gender (Tenba being a notable exception) to her piranha-like beauty. However, it's Tenba she's got her hook into, and Tenba that she wants to land for herself; after all, she's got every right to him, having already defeated him in combat. (She caught him sober.)
