Militia Muster Living History
Old Courthouse Civil War Museum:  Winchester, VA
April 22, 2005
On April 22, 2006 the Continental Morgan Guard donned their new uniforms for thier milita muster at the Old Courthouse Civil  War Museum as their fore fathers did on various occasions from 1855 to 1861.  Although the days events did not turn out as planned members of the "Guard" enjoyed themselves and made due with what the Good Lord provided them.

Down to business:  Sgt. Kurtz and Mike Rearick, speak with a prospective recruit (Don Silvius) for the 31st Virginia Militia Company A, Continental Morgan Guard.
Above and Left:  The "Guard" leaves the courthouse, and walks down Loudon Street.  They did not take a up a formation, because they could not march since they did not have a city permit.  However, the well drilled militiamen present han trouble not falling in by two's.
