- The HMS Stubborn was scuttled for ASDIC purposes.
Be sure to go down the shot line directly
connected to the wreck. Somebody must be sure
that it is on the wreck. If for any reasons the
shot line is not on the wreck but it is within
visible range, you are in danger of making an
open water assent. The obvious reason is that
while you are going down the wreck is visible and
all you do is dive towards it, but as you go up
you will not be able to find a 10 mm rope. The
top of the wreck is at 45 meters, there are 2
hatches open but do not try to penetrate. You can
see the torpedo tubes and the propellers are
still there. More than 15 minutes down there will
give you a very long decompression requirement.
