- Depth
- 6-25 meters
- Sea Bed
- Close to shore it is mostly rocky with Posedonia,
but further out it is sandy.
- Interests
- The recently scuttled St
Michael and Number 10 tugboats
in the Marsascala inlet.
- Speciality
- Reef/Wreck Divers
- Dangers
- Since the inlet is used by a large number of
small and large boats, one should be careful when
surfacing away from shore. An SMB should be used
at all times.
- Visibility
- Quite Good
- Navigation
- Once in the water, the shoreline makes an
interesting reef to explore. However, in order to
reach the tugboat wrecks,
you will need to take a transit from the small
building at the head of Zonqor Point to a point
that lies halfway between the Jerma Palace Hotel
on the opposite shore and the very tip of the
cost. Once you decide the bearing and proceed
with the dive underwater, the wrecks should be in
sight by the time the rocks and posedonia give
way to a sandy seabed. If not, turn either left
or right to hopefully encounter one or both
wrecks.
- Entry/Exit Points
- Giant stride entry or slide entry from shore.
Exit by climbing shore.
- Shore/boat/long swim
- Shore dive.
