Amazing Crystal

Sung to Amazing Grace by John Newton

Amazing crystal, how sweet the sound
That saved a singer like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas the ranges that taught my heart to fear,
And crystal my fears relieved;
How precious did that crystal appear
The hour I first believed!

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis my sled thats brought me safe thus far,
And my sled will lead me home.

Crystal made my wounded spirit whole,
And calmed my troubled mind,
It's living food for many a singer,
That weary singers may find.

The Guild has promised good to me;
It’s word my hope secures;
My contract will be my shield so dear:
As long as life endures.

When we've been gone ten thousand years,
Bright shining as Scoria;
We've no less days, to sing crystal’s praise
Than when we'd first begun.
