Well, it's way past the time when everyone started blogging, and here I am trying to catch up. Or not. Oh well..
When I first saw the beach paradise..

It was February of 2004 when I finally got the chance to really go on an overdue, well-deserved (I'd say!) vacation. Went to Boracay, the ever-so-famous island known for its powdery white sand and clear, blue water with everyone from the 9th batch left in PS-- Ruby, Judy, and of course, Boracay ex-mayor Patrick (haha!). Took the first flight out of Manila and arrived Caticlan just as the sun rose, and splashed on calm waters on a jetty to Station 2. Ahh... this picture is the first we've taken, and it was the best start. Took off my slippers while walking on the warm sand. Ahh... this is vacation. At last!

What a wonderful way to experience Boracay-- we stayed in the suite room at Boracay Beach Chalets, overlooking White Beach, and the room was very nice. Kinda romantic, if you'd stay there with a special someone. You could pull up the blinds on both sides of the room and viola! The beach and the view around you... breathtaking :) Staying at the veranda to people-watch, or better yet, drown your sorrows listenin' to the waves splashing on pearly-white powdery sand.

Had breakfast at Nigi-Nigi Nu Nu Noos... English breakfast with eat-all-you-can eggs. Haha. Then off to explore the island.

Banana Boat ride. Crepes at Cafe Briezh. Walking barefoot on the sand, from Station 1 to 3. Shopping at the Talipapa. Pizza at Hey Jude. Jonah's milk-shakes.

And a good, relaxing massage at the Mandala Spa. Then I had one of the best sleep nights of my life. Haha. Real sleep, after all the pressures at work.

Henna tattoo. And of course, sun bathing.

Had a great 4-days/3-nights vacation at this pristine island.

I vowed to myself that I will come back and visit this wonderful place again. And I did. In November...
