* In an incredible demonstration of the Olympic spirit, the Israeli gymnast, Revital Sharon was invited to compete with the Hungarian team after one of their gymnasts, Agnes Misko (twin sister of Zsuzsana) was unable to compete optionals due to injury. Sharon had refused to compete in her assigned morning subdivision for religious reasons. The Hungarian team's gesture allowed Sharon to complete her Olympic competitive experience while maintaining and respecting her religious integrity.
