Science Fair: projects in Process
Plain speaking scientists give points to would be science fair participants. Pictured here are Emily and Becky as they work on refining their hypothesis as to how bubble gum flavor and bubble size can be measured. “The problem is that people don’t really know when the flavor is gone, because it fades away gradually, and it’s hard to say which bubblegum blows the best bubbles” says Becky. As it stands, their hypothesis is that “You cannot determine which gum will blow the biggest bubbles because every gum has different properties”. The girls look forward to the challenge of putting their ten favourite brands to the test however, in the big blow off which they estimate could take up to ten weeks. “I don’t think flavor has anything to do with bubbles, unless the properties of the flavors they add change the quality of the gum," observed Becky.
Well
girls, the entire student population is looking to see if your hypothesis is
supported. Good luck.
