APRIL 2001: Our Tiger Cub Den visited the Fire Station. We toured fire station, and saw where the firefighters live, then we got to see the fire engine. Each Scout sat in the cab of the engine and then got to squirt water out of the fire hose.

APRIL 2001: At our Den Meeting, we visited the San Leandro Police Station. We learned about what a police officer does. We observed the radio dispatch and 911 call center. We were able to see the police officer fire a hand gun and a rifle in the firing range and learned about bullets and safety. The K-9 unit consisting of Officer Jim and Jacko the dog showed us how the dog helps catpure the bad guys. We toured the jail and were even locked up behind bars (for just a couple of minutes).

MARCH 2001: We went with the Shark Patrol on the Trail Trekker Hoot Owl hike in Livermore. We heard and saw owls and learned about night-time creatures.

JANUARY 2001: Tiger Cub Den #2 and #3 visited the Western Aerospace Museum in Oakland, near the Oakland Airport. We saw many planes and even got to walk through one called a "Flying Boat".
