Blue and Gold 2002

What an absolutely outstanding celebration we had in February. Twenty boys graduated out of Cub Scouts and 19 of those boys earned the Arrow of Light Award, Cub Scouts highest award.  Congratulations to all these boys. From the 20 that graduated, 16 boys went on to join a Boy Scout Troop. These are our best numbers in recent memory for the percentage of boys moving on to Boy Scouts.

In case you missed the Celebration, here is a recap of the evening. We started with the 115th Fighter Air-wing stationed at Truax field presenting the Flag and doing a Historical Flag presentation of the U.S. Flag. Webelos I (Den 2) had awarded the boys their Webelos Achievement. The Cubmaster recognized all the departing leaders and all the other den leaders and pack committee members.   420’s Order of the Arrow did our Indian Ceremony bridging the boys from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts and the boy walked across a rope bridge built by the Boy Scouts and Webelos.
