In Loving Memory of Stu Hart and Michael "Hawk" Hegstrand
"I am the man...I am the boss...I am The Big Kahuna" hits the PA System and out comes the boss of the Canadian Wrestling Federation, The Big Kahuna. The crowd boos the boss on his way to the ring, but little di they know that he had something to say to them that they would later respect. "I was going to come out here and say a big welcome speech to the Canadian Wrestling Federation, but I didn't think it was necessary. All of you here no me, I am the boss. I am The Big Kahuna. Don't you forget it." The crowd boos again.
"And to let you all know, I am the most powerful wrestling promoter in the history of this business. Not only do I own 100% of the Canadian Wrestling Federation, I know am the Canadian Liaison and 25% owner of the best American wrestling promotion today, All Star Wrestling. I say that, and they haven't even run a show yet. That is how much faith I have in that group." The crowd has mixed reactions to this statement.
"I could have come out here hyping the CWF and hyping the show. But I don't need to. You guys didn't come out to the CWF to listen to me blab about how good the show will be, I will let you guys decide that." The crowd cheers after this comment. "But I did come out here for an important reason.
"One wrestling promotion in the American independent group told me the following. And I quote, 'It was luck of the draw. I had my wife pick the teams out of the hat. They are even in order in which she drew them.' First of all, you are such a man you help let your wife run your promotion. But get this. And I once again quote, 'But not to worry, PWX will be sending some guys up north for some shows, but because of the weather, we will have to take a dogsled.'" After this comment, the crowd began to boo.
"Yes, he did say dogsled. Now that I said PWX, most of you know that I am talking about Pro Wrestling eXpress commissioner Tom Gorgas. And yes, he does let his wife run his promotion for him." The crowd begins to laugh at the so called 'promoter' in the United States. "Well Tom, just to let you know, it was luck of the draw that the three CWF tag teams were not entered into the Road Warrior Hawk Memorial Tag Team tournament, it also happens to be luck of the draw that as long as I am here, never will a Pro Wrestling eXpress wrestler step foot not only in a CWF ring, but in a CWF arena."
The crowd then stood on their feet and applauded The Big Kahuna. "But Tom, I am not done. You know that charity show that International Pro Wrestling and the CWF are co-booking, and how you said any of your wrestlers were available. You are pretty lucky that I haven't contacted IPW owner Joe Rother, because if it wasn't for that, your ass would be off of this show as well." The crowd once again cheers The Big Kahuna's words.
"We'll see who has the luck of the draw now. And fans of the Canadian Wrestling Federation, don't you worry. If you think we are going big now, just wait for what is to come. I will show you all once again that I am the most powerful man in this industry in the months to come."
To kick off the show with a bang, if it hasn't been one already, The Big Kahuna decided to show PWX Commissioner Tom Gorgas that the CWF Tag Teams are worthy of competing in any promotion. Death & Destruction, the team composing of The Machine and Killer Cox, would take on All Star Wrestling's own Ballard Brothers, Shane and Shannon, Rockin' Rebels, 'Rockin'' Rex Roberts and 'Thrillin'' Dillon Robson and the Sky Flyers, the two undergods Cassa Nova Kid & Mikey Miracle. All these teams would be competing for the CWF Tag Team titles!
Just because most of the fans in the world have never heard of the duo, it doesn't mean that Death & Destruction aren't one of the most dominating tag teams on this planet earth. The Ballard Brothers, Rockin' Rebels and Sky Flyers all teamed up against Cox & Machine, but it was no use. Mikey Miracle was hit with a vicious powerbomb from Cox, eliminating the Sky Flyers. Rex Roberts was next to go after The Machine chokeslammed him, covering him for the three, and eliminating the Rockin' Rebels.
It was down to two teams then. Shannon Ballard hit a dropkick on The Machine, but he acted as if he didn't even feel it. The Machine chokeslammed Shannon and Killer Cox powerbombed Shane simutaneously, covering both at the same time, and bringing home the CWF Tag Team gold!
The Big Kahuna then came out for the second time of the evening, hodling two Canadian Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championships in hand! He presented Death & Destruction the tag team gold, but when he was just about to take the microphone to congratulate the two, All Starr Wrestling's own Jerry Lynn and Sean Waltman, the team that dubs themselves as Project X, ran down. Waltman hit a spinning high head kick, knocking The Machine over the ropes, and dropping his title. Meanwhile, Killer Cox and Jerry Lynn were brawling, when Waltman hit Machine with Cox's title belt!
Lynn picks Cox up and hits the Cradle Piledriver right on the belt! Killer Cox is busted wide open! 'Death ... and ... Destruction' hits the PA system and out runs Machine & Cox's ally The Axe and he chases off Project X through the crowd.
During the whole schmele, The Big Kahuna was seen screaming at Project X to get out of his ring. You could also here him say, "Just wait until Midweek Massacre!"
Ring announcer Wayne Stanton then called the fans and announced a six way CWF Junior Heavyweight Championship match up between "Mr. Showtime" Chance Beckett, El Tornado, Kevin "Cannonball" Cannon, Phoenix Dreamwalker, "Red Hot" Ryan Wood, and "Textbook" Tyson Dux. Dux is representing All Star Wrestling. These are six of Canada's best indipendent junior heavyweights to hit the ring, and this was in for a matchup.
This did fall under elimination pinfall and submission rules. Chance Beckett and Ryan Wood were the highlight of the first part of the match, with Wood jumping on Beckett's shoulders, and rolling him up. It only got a two, however. The match dragged on with great near falls and moves. Starting on eliminations, Chance Beckett eliminated Phoenix Dreamwalker to after a Chance Encounter. The next to go was Kevin Cannon after his Velvet Victory Roll was reversed by Beckett into a roll up of his own!
Beckett seemed to have all the momentum, but you could count on Ryan Wood staying 'Red Hot' and hitting a split legged moonsault quickly after Cannon's dismissal eliminated Beckett. So it was down to Ryan Wood, El Tornado and Tyson Dux. Dux & Tornado missed a double clothesline and received a double DDT from Wood.
But Wood and Tornado got up at the same time, and Tornado cranked Wood with a Brainbuster DDT! 1-2-... Tyson Dux pulled El Tornado off, and said "I want to pin him!" 1-2... El Tornado pulled Dux off! Tornado tried another pinfall, but it was broke up as well. Torando said, fine you pin him! Torando went up top meanwhile, and broke the count up with a Frog Splash. He rolled Dux up and it was now down to Tornado and Wood.
Wood leap frogged over Tornado, who went running into the ropes, and went for a monkey toss. Tornado reversed it, and went for one of his own, but Ryan Wood did a flip, and landed on his feet! Wood hit a hurricanronna and held the legs of Tornado down, and got the three count!
For the third time in the night, The Big Kahuna made his way to the ring, but not empty handed. He held the CWF Junior Heavyweight title. He then took a microphone. "Hopefully no All Star Wrestling talent will be on hand for this ceremony, because I am serious, the next ASW wrestler than tries ruining my show will report to me, and I will personally kick your ass. Now I would like to congratulate Ryan Wood on becoming the first ever CWF Junior Heavyweight champion!"
Wood then accepts the microphone from Ernie Todd. "I don't have much to say other than this was hard worked, and the reason I began to wrestle. I love wrestling and dreamed of holding championship gold, and now it has come true. I will defend this belt with honour any time, any where. Hell, I would defend this belt now if someone challenged me right now."
"Play...Play...Play of the Day" hit the PA system and out walked another All Star Wrestling talent, this time the name of Elix Skipper.
The Big Kahuna was about to scream and tell Skipper to get out of the arena, but Skipper had a microphone. "Did I just here you say you would defend that belt of yours if someone challenged you any time, anywhere, even right now? You just met your challenge of a lifetime." By that time Skipper was in the ring, and Kahuna was estatic. He tried telling Wood to go to the back and get awway from Skipper, but Wood dropped his belt and told Elix to bring it on.
Skipper went for a clothesline, but Woody ducked and the match was on! Wood hit some mid-strength right hands all the way to the ropes, and send the ASW star flying. Wood charged at him after Skipper bounced off the ropes, but Skipper stopped in his tracks and belted Wood right in the stomach. Woody fell to the ground and Skipper said it was over right then! Elix picked Ryan up and kicked him in the midsection, held his arm, and set his foot over Wood's neck. Overdrive! Skipper made the non-chalant pin, barely holding Wood down, and he payed for it as Wood kicked out.
Skipper was furious, beating the hell out of Wood. The crowd began to boo. A small 'Woody! Woody!' chant began. Wood fed off of the fans energy, and got up and dropkicked Skipper over the ropes. Skipper had to regroup, and then came back in. The two went at it for about ten minutes when finally Skipper was hit with a devastating reverse DDT, allowing Wood to hit a standing moonsault to retain the CWF Junior Heavyweight title.
Continuing on in this fantastic card so far were two "out of town" tag teams. Both represent the World Wrestling Alliance. First, from Pacific Coast Wrestling are the reigning WWA Canadian Tag Team Champions Harlem Heat, Booker T and Stevie Ray. The next team wrestles out of Mexico, from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre are The Elite, Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger! The match was back and forth, but Booker T ended the match with a Book End on Simon Diamond.
Booker and Stevie held their belts up high. But they didn't make it too far after that when WWA North American Tag Team Champions, WWA European Tag Team Champions, WWA Asian Tag Team Champions Fire & Ice, the team composed of Scott Norton and Ice Train, attacked Harlem Heat! The teams battled until Norton powerbombed Booker T and Ice Train sideslammed Stevie Ray to the mat!
After the Canadian Tag Team title match, the "Canadian Crime Spree" Spyder made his way to the ring. He took a microphone from Wayne Stanton. "Tonight. In this ring that I am standing in. Barbed wire will be wrapped around the ropes. The tub of weapons, weapons which you fans did bring, will be brought to the ring. Skin will be torn. Blood will be lost. I will be in my home!" The crowd cheers.
"But tonight, you fans will be going home happy. You see, I doubt I make much money tonight. But I don't do it for the money. Neither does anybody in the back. They all do it because they love it. The perfect example being Ryan Wood - defeated five men tonight... and then accepted a challenge from quite possibly the greatest Junior Heavyweight on this earth...Elix Skipper. But he didn't mind, because he loves this.
"Most of you probably don't know what I am talking about. I am talking about my home. Tonight when I face nine other superstars from this company, I will be in my home, because tearing skin, losing blood and beating the hell out of anybody in my path is my home!" The crowd begins a small 'Spyder! Spyer!' chant. "But I just said it a minute ago, I don't do it for the money, because quite frankly, there isn't much of it. I don't do it for myself, because there is you guys. But I don't do it for nothing... I do it for the Canadian Heavyweight Championship!" The small 'Spyder! Spyder!' chant that had started just grew to a thundering echo.
"Tonight... I will tear my skin... TONIGHT... I will bleed... TONIGHT... I WILL WALK OUT CWF CANADIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!" Spyder then left the ring area to a standing ovation.
The semi main event of the eveing saw CMLL's Vampiro defend one of his title belts, the WWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship against independent promotion Scottish Championship Wrestling's Christian. Each man went at it and put on a great show for the fans. The Canadian hero from SCW had Vampiro beat after the Impaler, but when he was going to go for the pin, another All Star Wrestling worker Rhyno came out and Gored Christian to the mat, leaving the referee to call for the bell. Christian wins by disqualification. CMLL superstar Kanyon then comes to the ring and hits a flatliner on Vampiro!
Being a fellow Canadian, Christian had just got up from his gore and was going to help Vampiro out, but received another gore from Rhyno! Kanyon hits another flatliner on Vampiro. Kanyon then stands over teh WWA Canadian/CMLL Heavyweight champion, and Rhyno stands over a battered Christian!
Wayne Stanton introduced The Big Kahuna one final time as he held the CWF Canadian Heavyweight Championship in hand. Wayne Stanton then told the fans that all the barbed wire they had was being put over the ropes! A big tub was brought in carrying all the weapons that the fans brought! Stanton reminded the fans that there would be twelve wrestlers, and one mystery wrestler.

Bobby Jay came to the ring with his signature mirror in hand. He decided the match was too violent and did not take a weapon! Zack Mercury came out and grabbed a vacuum cleaner! The match was on! Mercury took his vacuum and hit the 'Beautiful One' in the head!
Entry Number Three - "Bad Boy" Brian Jewel
Jewel came to the ring and took out a hockey stick! He got into the ring and when anyone came near him he would swing at them. Mercury outsmarted Jewel though, throwing the vacuum cleaner at him, and as Jewel caught it, he was dropkicked to the mat. Mercury then kicked Jay in the midsection, and rope burned his eyes! Elimination Number Three - Joe E. Legend
Just as Legend was eliminated, another minute had passed up.
Entry Number Eight - "Canadian Crime Spree" Spyder
Many fans were smart enough to bring Spyder's signature weapon ... thumbtacks! There were at least four bags of them in the bucket. Spyder took every weapon out of the bucket, headphones, baseball bat, weight pipe, thumbtacks, clock, speakers, a "mystery" bag, garbage can, water bottle, cooking pot, plus much more. He threw them all in the ring. And before he even made it to the ring, the next wrestler appeared.
Entry Number Nine - "Classic" Matt Fairlane
Matt came down and brawled with Spyder. Spyder eventually threw him into the barbwire ropes from the outside. Spyder entered the ring and took all four bags of thumbtacks and started hitting people with them. Mercury went down, as did Jewel. Bratt went down. Kerry Brown then went at Spyder and the two started brawling. Rights and lefts, lefts and rights. Finally, Brown kicked Spyder in the midsection and piledrove him to the mat!

Elimination Number Seven - "Classic" Matt Fairlane
Diamond left Stardom alone and went and Royce, Spyder and Paul all were battling it out. Meanwhile, Stardom got up and ripped Mercury's flesh on the barbwire ropes! He took a clock and cracked Mercury over the head! Mercury fell over the top rope.
Elimination Number Eight - Zack Mercury
It was now down to four men. Royce scoop slammed Spyder and set a baseball bat and a weight pipe on him. He went up top, and hit a Five Star Elbow, but hurt himself in the process. This opened the door for Diamond to work on Stardom without any distractions. He took some speakers and knocked Stardom over the ropes!
Elimination Number Nine - "Rugged" Rob Stardom
Diamond went to the middle rope. He brought Royce with him. He was going for the slop drop, but as he got up to the middle rop, Spyder took the weight pipe in a last burst of energy and knocked both Royce and Diamond out of the ring!

Elimination Number Eleven - Paul Diamond
Winner and New CWF Canadian Heavyweight Champion - "Canadian Crime Spree" Spyder
The Big Kahuna stepped out of his position at ringside carrying the CWF Canadian Heavyweight title in hand. He brought a mic with him. "Ladies and gentlemen, your new CWF Canadian Champion....SPYDER!" The crowd stood on their feet cheering. "Congratulations Spyder, you are the champion of the CWF, and will be the flagship of this promotion for possibly days to come... and if you are a true champion, months to come.
"You will face challenges from all sorts. Be it All Star Wrestling from America, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre from Mexico, International Pro Wrestling from Europe, you will face all sorts of challen..."
The Big Kahuna was cut off. From the crowd out ran current CMLL Heavyweight champion/WWA Canadian Heavyweight champion Vampiro with a chair. He hit Spyder from behind. Kahuna just stared at the situation. Vampiro grabbed the microphone from Kahuna.
"Big Kahuna, I think you forgot a promotion. I'm champion of CMLL, but I am also champion of Canada. I think you forgot Pacific Coast Wrestling." Vampiro got on his stomach and layed in front of the CWF champion. "I think, Spyder, you just met your first challenge. The real Canadian Heavyweight Champion."
Kahuna still stood in shock that Vampiro challenged Spyder. Vampiro left through the crowd holding his two Heavyweight championships on each shoulder. He held his two arms in the air...
