The "welcome" at the top is one of the illustrations that we were to work on in the tutorial. Sort of a fuzzy welcome to the page. After making the fuzzy rectangle for the project I added the bevel and the Welcome.

While my artwork may not look very professional, I would like to thank my cat Critter for loaning me his eyes, nose and mouth for this project. (LOL) As far as the objective to get used to the brush variances, I did experiment quite a lot. I used a transparent background and added the texture to get a little better look (better? lol) To finish the project I did a little smoothing and added an inner bevel.

The "scattered papers" gave me a little problem because there was no scattered papers preset in my PSP-9. But I found that the "instant city" preset gave the same effect if you set the size of the brush down a little (about half of what it's default was).At the end I added and Art Texture backround and did a little smoothing.
