My January 05
week #4
lesson from the PSPUG.

The week 4 lesson had to do with The lens distortion effect. This is the "truck" photo that we were given to practice on.

Using the lens distortion effect I got these "modified versions of the truck

Again I decided to pull out some of my "old" pictures to practice the lens distortion effect.

This is the USS George Bancroft SSBN 643. I spent many years on this boat. This boat now serves as a monument in King's Bay, Georgia. I used the fish-eye effect set at -250 horizontal and vertical offset and had the edge mode set to wrap

Now, this picture is me when I was just wodave (before the "C". lol). The pincushion effect sure does take off the pounds. lol Just crop a litle and there's a whole new me there.

Next I found a picture of the USS Eisenhower CVN69. I was on the construction crew of this ship. Wow was it BIG. As a submarine sailor, I really felt out of place. I used the one step photo fix then denoise (works great on the flaws you get in scannned pics too). I followed this with some sharpening then selected the water around the ship and ran denoise again. Final touch was fish-eye effect set at zero horizontal and vertical with 160 field.
