Temperament: Grew up a wild heathen on board ship among her raucous family, but possessing the Alton Gift, she was trained strongly in responsible Force use and emotional detachment. She became more cautious and reserved upon entering the Alliance, her first time away from home and the Family. Her competitive streak comes out in sports. Grew up surrounded by males.

Personal History:
Raych travelled with her parents and brothers as a child and later on joined the Family in smuggling operations, from her father learning to pilot and her mother to shoot. From her siblings she learned to give back as good as she got and never show fear, but also teamwork, loyalty and competitiveness. Her half sister Janin became her best friend. With her future mapped out for her by the needs of the Family she never really gave much thought to what she'd be when she grew up. If anything she expected to be dead, the Family business being a deadly one.
As a teen she participated in a few piracy ventures but found she preferred smuggling and expected to continue in this way for several years. After the destruction of the first Death Star the Family patriarch decided that the Family needed to know more about the rebellion and over the years Family members joined both sides of the conflict. After witnessing an atrocity by the Empire Janin faked her age and joined the rebels so Raych joined her there to keep her out of trouble.
Her first time away from home and the Family, Raych started without real enthusiasm for the rebel cause but over time saw enough of the Empire's methods to side against them. She served loyally and was nearly captured once, wounded during a battle to hold off the Empire's invasion of a rebel base but was evacuated in time. The loss of some of her companions troubled her deeply.
For a time she was assigned to Yavin 4, to the defense of the Jedi enclave there. Temporarily assigned to guard the Alliance VIPs at Port Lansing one year she was wounded again in a firefight and lost her charge to the Empire.
Janin was captured by the Empire and she saw the changes in her sister, as well as herself. She requested to come home and so after several years in the Alliance Raych left the military and went home to Shardakour.
NOTES: Freemate Marriage: a simple declaration before witnesses, made at the end of the dinner for the guests andneighbors whod been invited. The groom hlds out a hand to the bride and she joins him with two females behind her. The groom has a man to stand up for him.
"My friends, nobles adn gentlefolk, we have called you together to witness our pledging. Be you all witness that I, ____ of ____ being freeborn and pledged to no woman, take as freemate this woman, ____ of ____ with the consent of her kin. And I proclaim that her children shall be declared the legitimate heirs of my body and shall share in my heritage and estate, be it large or small."

Followed by congratulations and kisses for bride and groom. There is no set formul for the words to use but the higher born declares the children legitimate or not to do.
The celebration involves alot of drinking and dancing and boisterous games.
