Prelude
It was evening in the Chantry, and news from the Custos said that the Deacon had returned an hour before from a journey with his cabal. They said that a great matter had been imparted in secrecy and the cabal were closeted working on the problem... All Magus worthy of the knowledge had known of the death of the magick coming these past centuries, perhaps Magus Goratrix had found the pattern they sought?
Distracted from her research by her concerns she wondered occasionally what would become of Geoffrey. The custos said bands of vampir had attacked other Chantries, with their monstrous creations, and rabid animal allies... England was so far away... and Morgaine would protect the Sleepers... Perhaps a brief visit to the London Chantry would be permitted, after the research was complete...
The order came down within a few days to report to the Deacon in his rooms. How was I to know what we had become? And so I died, the fourth of December in the year of Our Lord, Anno Domini 1024.
History
Marjorie was born in the north to a noble family in 986 AD. She became Awakened at a young age, little more than a child of 8, and was sent to a Magus of the Order of Hermes, House Diedne from whom she learnt Spheres and of her surroundings in the druidic fashion.
In her travels she wrote to many personages and exchanged tomes of knowledge. Upon returning to England from Rome with a new trove copied from monks in Byzantium she stayed at the court of one such correspondent and found herself staying on for two years, marrying Geoffrey, Lord Sinclair, and bearing him children. When her husband chose to be placed into magical sleep she returned to the Chantries, joining the House Tremere in Transylvania this time.
First appeared ten years before the founding of the Camarilla as a Tremere courier on the proposed Camarilla (c 1394-. Appeared again during the final Camarilla talks with the Tremere representatives (1450. Next seen in England with Meerlinda's Chantry, handling minor diplomatic missions between Clans. Next seen in Dallas after Meerlinda's transfer, same duties (c 18th century). Next seen in New Orleans as member of Quarter Chantry before its destruction by the Prince (early 1997). Next seen shortly thereafter as Regent of Ashland Chantry. Next seen as assistant to the Lord of Seattle. Currently a member of Ashland Chantry (1998). October 23, 1998 she became Chamberlain there.

World Notes:
-- Character played in the Star Wars roleplay group, Cantina Roleplayers Guild .
The ceremonial robes are never described, but are included occasionally in templates under "Equipment"... usually under the more traditional templates. Artwork through the books depicts robes in a variety of ways, but usually is evocative of the House or Mage in question... much like the sigil. It always has a hood and almost always a band of embroidered runes or magical lettering on the neck, hem or edge of the sleeves, occasionally on a seperate band looping around the neck like in priest vestments.
Usually the robes themselves are depicted as a one piece loose hooded, rather voluminous, garment that could be worn over regular clothing, or even a full suit of chainmail from the looks of it. Sleeves usually are wrist length or knuckle length, and loose, but are occasionally tight sleeves, or shoved up to one's elbows. Cloth quality could be rough, plain or fine depending. Occasionally it was deliberately tattered looking.
In one version there was a hooded cloak over a floorlength tabard like
garment... tabard varients did occur, sleek, simple, more or less form fitting garments with hoods, always of exceptionally fine material. These were always very plain in ornamentation, relying on design and smooth lines, or a shift in texture to relieve the plainness.
One depiction was in every way ceremonial, but unlike any other depiction was slit up both sides to the hip, sleeveless, and barefooted... with the runic embroidered edges, rings and amulets and so on. Made of a gossamer material and coming to midthigh in a crisscrossing fashion. This magus was apparently extremely athletic as well, and energetic in her castings.
One older gentleman wore something draped like a roman toga perhaps... and others were clad in draped or cloaked styles from their cultural backgrounds. Similar things can be done depending on the fashions during the developmental period of the magus in question.
Whenever the rune letterings are depicted, they are given much space around them, not close to each other like letters in a sentence might be. This suggests words of magical power of some sort. Or rank and House symbols, like a minor bio of the character's achievements.
Many depicted wear some sort of amulet, large or small, around the neck on a chain. No gems of any kind, only solid work and filigree apparently. Many also wear rings, but again, no gemstones at all.
Note, all Hermetic mages have a "truename" that is given them during the
Ceremony of Initiation, as well as other names acquired along the way. Tremere have a ritual for discerning truenames as well, so I imagine they too have truenames. Axis Mundi states that all humans have the power of Naming, therefore defining, what something is, that is what a truename would be.
The rumored leader of this Order is Lord over several Chantries in the country of Ireland. Although this magus denies any connection with the Order, it is known he was among those who first looted the main covenant of House Diedne after it was destroyed in the Schism Wars of 1003-1012. This war was prosecuted by the allied houses of Tremere and Flambeau, and it has since been rumored that the whole affair was instigated by the Tremere, who merely wanted to get their hands on specific information held by the Diedne. Though unproved, this knowledge supposedly led to the conversion of the Tremere to vampires.
While they would seem to be outside the norm of Tremere magic, no one dares move against them. On two occasions when members have gotten in trouble, the Inner Circle has pardoned them. Some whisper that the Naturists protect some great secret from ancient times, and others say that they hold the secret to all Tremere immortality.
"I Marjorie Sinclair, hereby swear my everlasting loyalty to House and Clan Tremere and all its members. I am of their blood, and they are of mine. We share our lives, our goals and our achievements. I shall obey those the House sees fit to name my superiors, and treat my inferiors with all the respect and care they earn for themselves."
"I will not deprive or attempt to deprive any member of House and Clan Tremere of his magical power. To do so would be to act against the strength of our House. I will not slay nor attempt to slay any member of the House and Clan except in self-defense, or when a magus has been ruled outlaw by a properly constituted tribunal. If a magus has been ruled an outlaw, I shall bend all efforts to bring such magus to justice."
"I will abide by the decisions of the tribunals, and respectfully honor the wishes of the Inner Council of Seven and the wishes of my superiors. The tribunals shall be bound by the spirit of the Code of Tremere, supplemented by the Peripheral Code and interpreted by a properly constituted body of magi. I have the right to appeal a decision to a higher tribunal, if they should agree to hear my case."
"I will not endanger House and Clan Tremere through my actions. Nor will I interfere with the affairs of mundanes and thereby bring ruin upon m House and Clan. I will not, when dealing with devils, or others, in any way bring danger to the clan. Nor will I disturb the faeries in any way that should cause them to take their vengeance on the House and Clan. I also swear to uphold the values and goals of the Camarilla, and I will maintain the Masquerade. Insofar as these goals may conflict with my goals, I will not pursue my own ends in any way that would endanger the Masquerade. The strength of the House and clan Tremere depends on the strength of the Masquerade."
"I will not use magic to scry upon members of the House and Clan Tremere, nor shall I use it to peer into their affairs. It is expressly forbidden."
"I will train only apprentices who will swear to this code, and should any of them turn against the House and Clan, I shall be the first to strike them down and bring them to justice. No apprentice of mine shall be called magus until he first swears to uphold the code. I shall treat my apprentices with the care
and respect that they earn."
"I concede to my elders the right to take my apprentice should it be found that my apprentice is valuable to an elder's work. All are members of the House and Clan and valuable first to these precepts. I shall abide by the right of my superiors to make such decisions."
"I shall further the knowledge of the House and Clan and share with its members all that I find in my search for wisdom and power. No secrets are to be kept, or given, regarding the arts of magic, nor shall I keep secret the doings of others which might bring harm to the House and Clan."
"I demand that should I break this oath, I should be cast out of the House and Clan. If I am cast out, I ask my brothers to find and slay me that my life may not continue in degradation and infamy."
"I recognize that the enemies of the House and Clan are my enemies, that the friends of the House and Clan are my friends, and that the allies of the House and Clan are my allies. Let us work as one and grow hale and strong."
"I hereby swear this oath on the fourth of December 1024. Woe to they who try to tempt me to break this oath, and woe to me if I succumb to such temptation."

Tremere Miscellaneous Information
Upon the Hermetics Ceremony of Initiation, the apprentice's master presents the Apprentice with a sigil, usually a wand of some kind, crafted in secret by the master. It typically bears arcane symbols related to the apprentice's magical specialties, House or other aspects of the apprentice's identity as a magus. These apparently can be made of metal or wood, either way. Some are in appearance short chunky staffs, like a shortened mace, some are several feet long. They can be wooden handled, with attachments that are loosely affixed or permanently bound to the wooden pole. Skulls and metallic things both appear atop wooden poles. some are clean in design (a short wooden staff with three feathers floating from a small metal ring attached at one end, a 4 foot staff with a crescent blade moonlike on one end), some are ornate and heavily weighed down (skulls, chains, amulets, carvings, etc etc).
Order of the Naturists
This Order embraces druidic principles, claiming that even the Tremere are part of the great scheme of nature and must recognize their place within this scheme. They are said to worship, or at least revere, a sacred tree bough of inestimable age.
