The Wild Star Confederacy

About the Confederacy

Government Type: Confederacy of planets under a non-elected President, with a Senate composed of one representative from each member world. The Senate can overrule the President. Taxes of several different types were approved, to be determined by the Senate and President. The President controls Confederacy defence, currently newer taskforces over each world. Each world provides housing and supplies for their taskforce.
Location: Yag'dhul and Varonat System.
Government Policy: The Confederacy was formed to protect the original member worlds from pirate incursions, at the instigation of Ethan Griman. Accordingly the Wild Star's primary focus is anti-pirate activity and regional development.
Diplomatic Status: At peace, barring a war on pirates within the Yag-Dhul System that have been recently beaten down but not extinct. Pirates outside the system remain a viable threat, having beaten back previous attempts to cauterize them.
Official Religion: None
Resources: Wild Star has recently begun development of a new class of capital ship and possesses a repair station.
Major Exports: Durasteel to member world Tarogolfin.

The Confederacy and the Galaxy

Allies: Autarkic Confederacy ("growing"), Sword Worlds ("growing") ? (5 allies claimed)

Trade Partners: The two former trade partners and suppliers of the Wild Star Corporation have notified Wild Star of their intention to continue the relationship.

Wild Star has contracted Linnoean Industries to produce new fighters and Esran Croft Enterprises contracted to develop and produce the fighter launch systems for the Centurion-class ships.

He had made his first run as a member of his fathers company Wild Star Shipping; he had inherited it when his father was killed in a pirate raid on the Wild Star Shipping station that orbited Corinth. He had vowed to make it great and something to be proud of again.

Trisha: Ethan's Wife. They had been together since he had made his first run as a member of his fathers company Wild Star Shipping.

Admiral Grim: Chief of all Naval forces. Played by Jhuston_Vox.

Corinth: Durasteel processing plant. Corona City near the Erganit Mountain range and Lake Itraon.

Aldarhunien: Trinity pirate home planet. Grentais (Main City). Guarded by a defense fleet. Pirate Corvette destroyed above the planet.

Anathorn: Gas Giant world in Yag'dhul system containing over ten different types of ore deposits including Isofire, used in durasteel processing.

Barachoth: Outvoted.

Huvauniac: Long time supporters of Wild Star.

Tarogolfin: Self sufficient but without defences and durasteel

Vantura: An outer Rim planet recently acquired when Pierce Frasia had gone to the Varonat system to inquire them joining the government.

Military Assets

Navy: The planets of the Confederacy do not maintain military forces. They are protected by a fleet under command of an Admiral selected by the President. Under Admiral Grim are five lesser Admirals, ____, ____, ____, Herm and Erain Jainik.

Since acquiring the new Archer-class cruisers and the development of the Centurion-class cruiser many captains had been moved around and promoted.

Remos Station: Being built in the Vanorat system.
Titan Station: In Yag'dhul system.
Zero Station: Resupply station for the Fleet.
Wild Star shipping station in orbit around Corinth.

Uniforms: Naval uniforms are Blue? The uniform (Ethan's) was simple, black pants and a black jacket. The jacket came farther over to the right and buttoned down at an angle toward his belt buckle.

"A-2's", fighters. Participated in the final battle against Istin Halin.
M Wing bombers, Captain Ferval's group contains 2 squadrons. "The bombers were one of the most lethal ships he had ever seen. Capable of dropping two space bombs and launching another at the same time gave them the ability to overwhelm most ships if they had a good escort."
Scythe-Class fighters, the first developed by Wild Star's research team, March 2002. The ship had excellent speed, maneuverability and a good weapons load for a fighter it’s size and for reasons still unknown they were not being massed produced yet.
Scypher-class prototype fighter. Commander Seth Cramton. The new Scypher-class fighter that Wild Star had developed along side Linnoean Industries. The ship had state of the art maneuverability, along with a design that he had no idea how it had been conceived. The cockpit sat infront of it’s single engine. The two wings came strait out and curved back creating an arch along the outer tip of the wing. As they got got closer to the aft of the fighter they straitened back out and curved back toward the cockpit. The fighter was eighteen and a half meters long with two laser cannons, an ion cannon and two torpedo launchers. 18 were lost in their first engagement.

History

Ethan had made his first run as a member of his father's company, Wild Star Shipping, and inherited it when his father was killed in a pirate raid on the Wild Star Shipping station that orbited Corinth. He vowed to make it great and something to be proud of again.

The Trinity consisted of three pirate groups that had combined to create problems in the Yag'Dhul system and had been doing just that till Ethan's forces engaged in a long war with them culminating in one fleet of ships engaging the pirate fleet while another attacked two secondary strongholds, and the Black Knight Spec Ops group infiltrated and attacked pirate bases on Aldarhunien.

Ethan Griman, tired of the destruction left in the wake of the pirate war called a meeting with the Wild Star Corporation's worlds in the Yag'dhul and Varonat System to propose creating Wild Star, the Confederacy. With one vote against, the proposal was passed.

New taskforces were assigned to each world for their protection, and several new Admirals and Captains were created as the fleet expanded to cover its duties.
