Prelude Birth: Death: - Notable Achievements: A daughter Education: Coruscant Jedi Temple |
Game History Ysabet was taken as a very young child into the great Jedi Temples along with her sister Amanda. She was a Jedi Padawan in the old Temple, was knighted at the time of Episode 2-3 and went into hiding during the Purge after becoming a knight. She and her sister were both trained in the Coruscant Temple, or at least her sister was. They may've split them up into different ones to reduce familial ties. Amanda was knighted by Episode 2 as well, the apprentice of Baric Dequillas, one of Koross Mathem's students. A gentle person, Ysabet was content to study the Jedi histories and preferred it to combat. During the Purge she was travelling incognito on board a ship when it was attacked by pirates. She was caught asleep and unable to respond quickly enough. Many were slain, the rest destined for slavery and prostitution. Traumatized utterly by the experience Ysabet withdrew into herself. The pirate ship was engaged in combat a few days later and the captives released. Seeing her state Davin, one of the Firestorm-Arseins, took her with the Family to recover at her own pace in safety and seclusion. Gradually Ysabet came to care for this irreverent but kindhearted young man, and Ysabet bore him a daughter, Janin. Unable to take the stress of raising the boisterous girl child Davin's wife Margali took Janin as her own. Ysabet remained with the Family, a quiet shadow on the fringes of their organization. The Family experienced an upheaval when Janin was 10. Jacen and Deveron Arsein on a mission for Jarek Alderson ran into difficulty and Tara came to their aid. On the way back to Shardakour with their cargo Jacen, Deveron and Tara began a relationship culminating in Tara and Jacen's marriage and the Family's relocation to Shardakour, as well as a shift to more legal activity. Ysabet too went to Shardakour, and was given a small cottage on the grounds for her use as well as a room in the House should she ever desire it. Ysabet tends to the young children, teaching them history, reading and language. |
DAVIS FAMILY HISTORY
The Davis Family is an extended clan family/group marriage with a history of not very strong psionic ability. Sixty years ago, Avril Davis’ ship, the Sabaac Queen, was forced to land on an uncharted planet to make repairs. He was found by Janara Arsein who took him to her family’s holding but the Arseins [bandits by trade] had came under attack and were all but wiped out. Janara married him and Avril took her remaining three teenaged brothers with him when he left. After several months of smuggling and psionic use they had acquired enough capital and made planetfall on a small Rim world known as Betawa VII in the Tion Sector. With Avril’s contacts and their psionics they set up a legitimate shipping cartel, Davis Freight Lines, as a front for their expanded smuggling activities. Over the years the dual businesses thrived and the Family expanded to match as they had children and found like minded individuals to bring into the Family. All are in the business in one way or another, and all are cheerfully amoral, adhering to a private code and the Davis motto ("What they don’t know won’t hurt us"). Those born into the Family enter the business by accompanying and observing as children. Once a pilot’s license is won, they accompany the clan raiders and smugglers while increasing their skills. The best take part in smuggling ventures as well. Everyone handles the legitimate cargo ships on a rotation schedule and it is considered soft duty. Older members retired from space going be come front people for Davis Freight Lines. All this changed after the Family leaders met with Tara Alderson, at the behest of Jacen Arsein. Levar and Mirand had been seeking a way to legitimize the Family and Tara offered this, in addition to potential new bloodlines. The Family moved operations to Shardakour and began engaging less in piracy and more legally, as legitimate freespacers and cargo carriers. Several Davis-Alderson offspring were born, and a new Tower was set up, their services used to benefit the Alderson Worlds in exploration, mining, and anti-pirate operations.

World Notes:
-- Character played in the Star Wars roleplay group, Cantina Roleplayers Guild .
FoE (Forces of the Empire) is a Star Wars role-playing group set in the ROTJ era more or less.
The Emperor survived the Death Star II as did Vader who lapsed back to the Dark Side. The
Alliance now controls a swathe of territory and the galactic civil war continues.
The club was begun way way back before the pre-quels and the two Sith rule but otherwise
has incorporated much of these additional movies.
