Dancing Queen

Kurt had always hated bowing to his girlfriend's wishes to get a bit of culture in their lives. Melody was always dragging him to the theatre or the museum. Kurt would much rather have gone to a ball game or a bar to drink. He was always a bit of a jock type, who would rather hang out with his mates around a TV than take in the fine arts. Melody wasn't a culture vulture but she longed to move in those circles. She knew she had to try and get Kurt to see things her way if she was ever to succeed.

This night Kurt sat and twiddled his thumbs through a performance by the famed Russian Ballet. All the time Kurt wanted to be out of his monkey suit, in a bar drinking and watching some sport on TV. Melody fumed as he made snide comments all through the show. It was a beautiful performance ruined by her ignoramous boyfriend. Melody was beginning to realise that Kurt was never going to change and got more and more angry as the night went on.

After interval they were filing back into their seats and Kurt was nagging how this was the last artsy fartsy event he was ever going to attend. Melody wanted to scream at the top of her lungs and belt the daylights out of Kurt but the situation meant she had to hold it in. As the last scenes of the ballet were on Kurt leaned over and said the only good thing about ballet were the girls in the flimsy outfits, and how he wouldn't mind getting into the female star's tutu for a bit of horizontal fun!

Melody erupted internally and with every nerve ending in her body wished hard as she could that Kurt would just vanish into thin air!

The cast took their bows the leading lady was presented with a bouquet of flowers. Melody looked through her opera glasses and wondered why the young girl looked so bewildered by everything. Then Kurt leaned over and whispered in her ear.

The couple walked silently to their car in the late night parking complex. As they reached it Melody looked at her programme and turned to Kurt.

"Rasa? she asked staring at Kurt intently.

"Yes I am Rasa Volker." Kurt said as he smiled.

"What's going on? Where's Kurt? How did this happen?

"Answers later. Please let us leave now." Kurt responded.

Melody nodded in confusion and before long the two were home in their apartment.

"Ok what's going on?" Melody demanded.

"Yes, answers. I am Rasa Volker of the Russian Ballet, before I left my country and old gypsy who has been friend of my family for many years asked me to tell what I wanted more than anything in world. I told her I wanted to be free of tyranny and to never perform ballet again. She told me that if I kept believing this would happen while I was on tour it would happen," Rasa explained looking down at her her now six foot muscled male body. "I got my wish, thanks to you," Rasa added.

"Where's Kurt then?" Meldoy asked, half knowing the answer.

Back in Russia Kurt found the constant training made him nimble, this delighted his manager!

"I think he is now in my old body and soon he will be heading back to Russia and my old life. Much sadness awaits him. Your wishes were so powerful they touched me and connected with my wishes, this change has granted both our requests," Rasa summised. "I don't know your name though." Rasa asked.

"Melody."

"And I am now Kurt." Rasa replied.

Some time later

Melody smiled wistfully as she lay beside her boyfriend, the love making session following the ballet had been the most exciting of her life. Rasa, rather Kurt was considerate and caring, for the first time.

Back at the ballet companies motel Kurt got another kind of loving from the manager of the ballet company. Seems that officialdom in the eastern block delighted in tasting the fruits of their stars. It would not be Kurt's last performance in a tutu off stage or on!
