Fred Winstine was a typical protective father. With a teenage daughter to care for he was always on guard for potential problems. Since his wife had passed away some years earlier Fred had become both sides of the parental fence for his daughter Shelly.

When Fred got a feeling that Shelly was becoming sexually active he lost perspective and panicked. He resorted to almost spying on Shelly as she went about her usual seventeen year old girl's life.

When the dopleganger formula notes came across his desk for legal checks he began to get an idea. Fred worked examining his companies delevelopments from a legal perspective. They worked with government to develop radical formulas and Fred's job was to make sure that any products would not be tied up in the courts. The doppleganger formula was Fred's way to check on his daughter's personal life.

Over the next days Fred put his plan in place. First he ensured Shelly would be out of the way by sending her on a holiday interstate to her grandmothers. He told her he couldn't go and the trip would be great for his mother who they hadn't seen for a while. In the meantime Fred stole a batch of the formula knowing full well what it could do.

After waving Shelly good bye on the bus Fred went home to the next step of the plan. In Shelly's room he took strands of hair from her brush and dropped them into the formula and left it for the required ten minutes. After that time the formula was now a diferent color and the hairs had melted into it somehow. With a gulp Fred downed the formula.

Being altered into a copy of your daughter was quite an experience and Fred was left a bit tired. He simply went to bed and slept for hours before waking refreshed. When he woke, Fred was surprised how different it felt when your body was so altered. It took him the rest of the evening to get a handle on moving and speaking, things took a little while to master but he felt by late that Sunday night he was in control. The other thing Fred had done was to say he'd get a hold of Shelly's schoolwork and do it for her whle she was away. It was part of his bargining to get her to go. Of course Fred figured he'd go to school for her. What he had to do was go over her current work before morning. He sat at her desk and brought himself up to speed. Keeping her long blonde hair out of his eyes was the toughest thing he had to do.

Fred managed to make himself presentable as Shelly and get to school. While school was an eye opener Fred stayed focussed on Shelly's schoolwork and her romantic side. At lunch he got an inkling to the latter as Robby O'Brien spent the whole break holding his hand and telling Fred how hot he was. Fred felt nauseous but determined to establish his daughter's situation. He managed to survive the first day and the next but something was not right. While Robby was taking liberties whenever they were alone it was nothing serious, making Fred feel a little better about things. What did bother Fred was that he was surrounded by young women and he finding the arousal difficult to combat. When Piper Davis asked Fred over to study for an upcoming exam he wasn't sure he should. In the end her persistence won him over. So on that hot Wednesday night Fred made his way to his school friends house.

An hour of study was harmless but Fred was having trouble keeping his eyes and even the odd hand off Piper. Piper made the excuse of being hot, to disrobe down to a white linen slip that showed off even more of her assets. Minute by minute Fred felt Piper making little advances and his own excitement built. He knew where it was heading but something inside him wanted it to happen. When Piper began stroking Fred's hair and nibbling on his ear he knew for sure, where things were going. When Fred found himself in Piper's arms he wanted to stop things but he felt too aroused. He tried to refuse that fist kiss but finally his lips met hers and the passion in the over heated bedroom exploded.

Fred's life changed forever that night with Piper. He was ruining his daughter's life! Fred couldn't believe what he'd done but the next two weeks were so intense he couldn't allow it to end. When Piper discovered Shelly was home alone for a few weeks it didn't take her long to camp herself in Shelly's house and bed! Fred wanted to break things up but every day after school he found himself in Piper's arms.

Running away with Piper hadn't been a plan but as the time before Shelly's return drew closer, Fred expressed his concerns about 'his father's view on their relationship' to his girlfriend. Fred penned the note from a fathers point of view to his daughter and closed the front door. He didn't look back at his former life, not even once. His life was now with Piper and their future was a mystery, still Fred could not wait to explore it!
