2/3 Cups Milk 2 Squares of Unsweetened Chocolate 2 Cups Sugar 1 Tsp. Corn Syrup Dash of Salt 2 T. Butter 1 Tsp. Vanilla
In a large frying pan, place chocolate and milk over low heat, stirring until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt. Cook gently, stirring from the bottom occasionally, to 236 degrees (or a little drop of water forms a soft ball). Remove from heat.
Stir in butter, cool to lukewarm, keep stirring, and add vanilla. Beat until thick and no longer glossy.
Quickly put on plate, as it gets hard fast.
