Action Prayer

Lord, You've called us to "go",

so help us not to stand still.

Lord, You've told us "Love",

so do not let us hate one another.

Lord, You've bid us "Baptize",

so don't let our well run dry.

Lord, You've told us "make disciples",

so don't let us push people away.

Lord, You've called us to reach out,

so may we not shrink into our comfort zones.

Lord, You've asked us to do so much in Your name,

give us the energy, the love, the Spirit, the wisdom,

the compassion, and whatever else we would need

to put our faith into action.
