Rain in the Garden

Silver drizzle
softly falls,
Sheeting the streets
with streams.
Softly, clouds flood the sky,
silently passing o'er.

Slowly, night comes.
Slowly, the clouds move on.
Stars twinkle, like jewels
on a dark velvet robe.
The moon, wrapped in a shawl of clouds,
casts a soft silver light on the world.

In silver moonlight, silence in golden.
The spirits of night move silently
through the garden of years past.
No birds sing, nothing stirs
save the soft wind flowing
through the trees.
