If I Could Shower you with Roses
If I could shower you with roses,
there’d be none left for the world;
For those of sweetest scent I’d pick,
with petals full unfurled.
If I could count the number of stars
I see shining in your eyes,
the heavens would be jealous
because of their dim lit skies.
If I could hear your laughter
singing all day long,
to me that sound would sweeter be
than any robin’s song.
If I could tell the world I love you
I’d shout from mountain top high,
or write it in the stars
pinned on a navy sky.
If I could shower you with roses,
there’d be none left for the world;
But sweeter by far is my love
than the scent from petals unfurled.
