I'm went on a mystery bus ride today to The Junction. The bus went through the projects, then through Merewether and down to the beach. If someone ever comes to Newcastle and wants a bus ride, this is the one. Starts at Hamilton station, along Beaumont St with its cafes, through Hamilton south, then down to Merewether beach, The Junction shopping centre, then into the city via bar beach. Bus rides open your eyes to new sites, streets and people. I highly recommend them.
