What if We Never Knew Emotion? |
Could you miss something you never really knew? "I couldn't live without you", how many times have we said that to someone? But how true is it, really? If you had never met them, would you really have been incapable of going on? Would you have ever met someone else that helped you? They say we need technology to function in this world. But, didn't the world function before computers? Love. You'd say we all need it, wouldn't you? Can't live without it, everyone must be loved. But what if you had never been loved. You had never seen it either. Never felt or experienced the love received from someone else or seen someone else be loved. Would you really need it? If you didn't even know what it was, how it felt, why it was there- would it be a missing piece in the puzzle of your existence, or nothing at all? You know the feeling of butterflies streaming through your veins, your soul soaring through air without impurities, and a smile plastered on your glowing face? You know, happiness. The simple bliss in which we feel good. And when your upset, angry, depressed, or lonely isn't happiness all you honestly want? If you really dig down deep enough to why your depressed or angry, isn't it always because something in your life that makes or would make you happy has proved itself absent? Just think about this; happiness is an emotion and without that emotion, humans naturally long to have it once again, but say humans never felt it. We all know what happiness is and how it feels, but if we didn't, if absolutely no one in the world have ever experienced weightless bliss, would it really even matter? The first thing people must think is if we aren't happy, we'd be depressed. But would we be? If there was no such thing as happiness, there'd be nothing to miss. You take away an emotion so powerful, you lose the others. No extremes, no feelings, just neutralization. Our ignorance to the fact that there is a better way to be and to feel, would leave us as mindless drones that never felt anything, right? We'd all just be there and nothing more. So truly, do you think that ignorance is bliss? Home Eccentric Rambling |
