He's The Greatest male dog I have ever met, wonderful with kids of all ages. He lets them grab and hold on to him and watches over them in the yard. With adults he's just the biggest clown - I never thought dogs could have such a sense of humor. And boy o boy does he have his mate figured out. When he wants to play with her and she doesn't want to do anything but be by me on the couch he doesn't jump on her to get her to play, he jumps on me and looks at her, until she gets so mad(because she doesn't like to share me with anyone) she jumps down. Then he goes after her. Or if he wants me alone he will do the same but after she jumps down he will roll over on top of me and with his tongue hanging out as if saying "don't you just LOVE me".
He is also very agile. When our backs have been turned, we have walked into a room with him walking across a piano, coffee tables and end tables, all to get to the window when his path was blocked. Also once just after I moved the PC to a new desk and it was clear,I was sitting at the desk when he wanted my attention and could not get to me, he jumped on the desk and then licked me for I could not stop laughing.
He definitely lives up to his name, with his mate he is a lover and will only argue with her when SHE starts it and will stop the second she stops. And as for the males, he wont start it, but if a male challenges him(like Rebel has repeatedly for the past month) his 45 to 50lbs self will NOT back down. Rebel at 75lbs has been taught ES manners by Zoro.
One of the funnest things he does is the way he eats hot dogs.He will lick them and then take a small bite, eat it then start all over licking it again.
