After two years living in our current place, we have decided it is time to move on. This is actually one year ahead of what we intended, but the time feels right. When we have seen the type of house we really wanted, it was then down to finding the right section. On a tight budget, we really don't have that much of a choice of options. This was the tough part. We nearly settled for a piece of land earlier, but the deal didn't go through. The following two photos below show the one that we finally bought. These were taken at the end of January.

After a couple of weeks, work has begun. The section was cleared, ready for foundation works. The following two photos were taken on 15 Feb 1998.


As seen from the front. The driveway leads up to our garage. We had Lay Ling, Avis, James & Tet Kuen visiting from Singapore then.

22 Feb 1998.
Foundation work well on the way. Piling is completed.



The concrete foundation for the garage is almost ready.

1 Mar 1998.
The garage floor is done. Work on the house's flooring has started.



This is the driveway that leads into the garage.

House flooring is completed and the fencing is going up. The house components will be arriving mid March so there won't be much happening till then.
